Our Care
At Grassington House, we believe exceptional care starts with truly knowing the people who live with us.
As a small home with just 13 residents, we have the time to build meaningful relationships, understand each person’s individual needs and provide care that is tailored to them.
We promote independence, dignity and choice while working closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure every resident receives the highest standard of care in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.
To further enhance the care we provide, we use Nourish – an award-winning digital care planning system that allows our team to record and monitor care in real time, ensuring information is always accurate, up to date and readily available.

Because we care for just 13 residents, we’re able to tailor activities around individual interests, hobbies and abilities rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme. Whether it’s gardening, baking, arts and crafts, games, gentle exercise, music, quizzes or simply enjoying time with friends over coffee, every day offers opportunities to stay active, engaged and connected.
We also encourage residents to remain part of the local community by enjoying outings, cafés, local events and places of interest whenever possible, ensuring life at Grassington House remains varied, enjoyable and fulfilling.

Our beautifully refurbished Victorian home combines elegant period features with modern facilities, creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents can truly feel at home.
Residents can enjoy spending time in our bright conservatory, dine together in our elegant dining room and make the most of our beautifully maintained gardens throughout the year. With just 13 individually decorated bedrooms, each resident has the privacy of their own personal space while remaining part of our close-knit community.
The home is fully accessible, with a passenger lift to all floors, wheelchair-friendly communal areas, handrails throughout and specialist equipment available whenever required, helping residents remain as independent, safe and comfortable as possible.
Our Meals
At Grassington House, we believe great food brings people together. Our kitchen is at the heart of the home, where delicious home-cooked meals are freshly prepared using quality ingredients and served in a warm, welcoming dining environment.
Residents enjoy a choice of nutritious meals each day, with menus designed around individual tastes, preferences and dietary requirements. Whether it’s a traditional roast, home-made soup, freshly baked cakes or one of our much-loved desserts, every meal is prepared with care and attention.
Mealtimes are relaxed and sociable, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy good food and good company. Breakfast is served at a time to suit each individual, while drinks, home-made treats and snacks are available throughout the day to ensure everyone feels comfortable and well looked after.

Louise has worked in the care sector for over 25 years, beginning her career as a Healthcare Assistant before progressing into leadership roles within residential care. Holding a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, she combines extensive experience with genuine compassion and a passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
